El Dorado shooting victim dies; Wichita man charged with attempted second degree murder

ELDORADO, Kansas -- A Wichita man has been charged with attempted second degree murder in a shooting Monday morning that happened at 433 North Allegheny in El Dorado.

The victim of the shooting, 24 year-old Trevor Wakefield, who lived at the address, died this morning at Wesley Medical Center.

Montee Iverson, 34 of Wichita, is in the Butler County Jail on a $250,000 bond. He was charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault, and criminal possession of a firearm.

Another woman, 29-year-old Mandy Crandall of Wichita was charged with assisting an escape of a fugitive. Her bond was set at $100,000.

Another person was released with no charges.

The county attorney says that the charges may be amended as the investigation develops.
