Some viewers may need a stronger antenna or a power booster for an outdoor antenna. Your antenna should be at least 20 feet above ground and you should point it toward Colwich....that is where our Wichita signal comes from. An omnidirectional antenna is best. You should also make sure the antenna is capable of UHF and VHF reception. Help is available at www.antennaweb.org NOTE: The number one fix for any problems after the transition can be solved by rescanning your channels on your converter box. (As you did when you first set it up) Don't forget to rescan your DVD recorder & VHS machine..(If they have digital tuners) For your DVR, you need to erase saved channels and rescan..or unplug it for an hour and rescan. If you watch us thru cable, satellite, digital ready TV or on a low power station, you do not need a converter box. If you have general questions call 888-225-5322 For specific questions about our digital transition, call us at 942-2424, extension 227 or email at DTV@foxkansas.com or write us at this address: 316 N. West St., Wichita, KS 67203

Ok, I'll let engineers know you are receiving us on 17.3.

Gate.. I have a 4 bay outside bowtie antenna pointing to the transmitter by Bennington (should be 18.1). The antenna is unable to receive your 24 channel since it is pointed the wrong direc and too small. As I said no hardware changes have been made here since the first of the year when the station was 18.1 and everything worked fine. I rescanned this morning with the antenna connected directly to the TV and the channel shows up as 17.3.

Some Salina viewers are getting us on 17.1 and some on 24.1 We are working on why. Try punching in those channels direct and see if you get us.

Gate.. I don't know which of us you were talking to. I'm not using a converter box. I have a Samsung 4665 HD TV and a Dishnetwork 612 and 211 both with off air HD tuners. They act as I described. The problem seems to be that the signal is not being recognized as 18.1. Did that change ? Thanks

Try Unplugging the power from your converter box and reconnect. if that doesn't work check your converter box model: RCA DTA800B1 box does not receive us. Apex Converter Box 250A does not work either. If you have one of these two boxes, take it back to the dealer and exchange it for another model. Let me know what works or what doesn't. Thanks for your patience. Leave your email address and we can respond directly.
