HESSTON, Kansas -- Fans of the TLC show "Toddlers and Tiaras", a local family applied to get their moment of television fame.
After phone and video interviews, the family was chosen for the show and spent two days filming the show that airs tomorrow.
"We were kinda surprised at first because she's so little, she was only 21 months old when they filmed her," says surprised pageant mom Amy Mullet.
TLC camera crews followed the Mullet family for two full days.
"They came to our house for two days, and they went with her to do things we supposedly do for a pageant so they went with her to get a photo shoot, nail appointment, and they went with her to play at a gym, and they filmed her at all those things," explains Amy.
Amy's daughter Brookly was in her first pageant at just nine months.
"I did them when I was younger so we had her and a few months later thought we'd try one and she liked it and did great so we kept doing them," says Amy.
There's yet to be a pageant where Brooklyn hasn't won something.
"We go anywhere from four a month to nine, it just depends on the month, sometimes we'll do two in a weekend and other times we don't do as many."
Different pageants require different categories but most often Brooklyn competes in beauty and something called outfit of choice.
"The pageant dresses are really expensive. I always say they cost more than my wedding dress but it's worth it because she looks cute," says Amy.
Brooklyn has a cheering section. Her aunt, grandma and even her dad are regular pageant attenders.
"At first my husband, he kinda thought we were crazy, but he's all into it now. I don't know if he'd admit that, but he does."
And now their family hobby will be exposed for all in America to see.
"I hope they show us as a normal family because we're really pretty normal so we're hoping that we are on there to show the positive side of pageants."
You can catch the episode of "Toddlers and Tiaras" featuring the Mullet family.
It airs Wednesday night on TLC at 8 p.m. and again at 10 p.m.
