WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita police tased a 42-year-old man after he threatened to shoot his wife and daughter.
It happened in the 1000 block of North Water around 7:30 p.m Tuesday.
Police were called after an argument occurred between the husband and his wife.
During the argument, the man produced a handgun and pointed it at his wife and daughter.
They left the house and called 911.
"When officers arrived, they had contact with the man. He was in the house. He came out at least twice. They weren't sure whether he had the handgun with him. He came out a third time and officers were able to use a taser to take him into custody," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department.
While using the taser, the man fell and sustained some broken ribs and a broken clavicle.
He was taken to the hospital.
Police say they will arrest the man on charges of aggravated assault after he leaves the hospital.
