WINFIELD, Kansas -- A Cowley County man who had been missing since May has been found dead northwest of Winfield.
Corbin Wilt was last seen alive May 27. On May 31, authorities began asking the public for help finding him.
On Friday, a person notified the sheriff's office that his dog had brought home what appeared to be human bones.
Authorities searched the surrounding area on Saturday morning and found more skeletal remains and some personal items.
The Cowley County sheriff says a forensic examination concluded that the deceased person is Wilt.
The investigation into the cause of his death continues.
