WICHITA, Kansas -- A motorcyclist has died resulting from injuries in a crash in south Wichita Friday.
It happened near Pawnee and Seneca.
Police say a woman was stopped when she pulled out hitting the eastbound motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Michael Landrum.
Wichita police say Landrum was traveling at speeds of 60 mph.
"She made the turn thinking it was clear, and because of his rate of speed, there was no way that she could judge that he was going to be going that fast. If he had been going the speed limit, there would not have been a collision," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department.
Landrum was thrown from the bike and rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
He died Monday.
The 81-year-old woman driving the car had minor injuries.
This is the fourth fatal motorcycle accident of the year in Wichita.
