WICHITA, Kansas -- District Attorney Nola Tedesco Foulston is warning consumers about a potentially dangerous email sent to Sedgwick County consumers that may contain potentially dangerous viruses or harm your computer.

The email appears to come from Delta Air Lines and contains an attachment that is purportedly a scanned ticket. The email initially reads: "Dear Customer…Your bought ticket is attached to the letter as a scan document. To use your ticket you should print it."

Delta Air Lines recommends if you receive or have received such an email, you should immediately change your SkyMiles account PIN and monitor your account for any misuse.

It also warns that you should not click on the link in the email or open any attachments; rather delete the email from your inbox.

The District Attorney would like to remind all Sedgwick County consumers any email you receive that you do not recognize, do not open it or any attachment connected with the email.

Instead, immediately delete the email to avoid any potentially dangerous virus or harm to your computer.

For additional information on protecting yourself from these crimes, contact the Consumer Fraud and Economic Crimes Division of the District Attorney's Office at 660-3653 or visit the District Attorney's website.
