WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita Festivals, Inc., a non-profit corporation with the purpose of creating diverse community celebrations, will hold a public forum on October 18 at 6:30 pm for individuals to share event ideas for the 2013 Riverfest.
Those with new ideas and event concepts are encouraged to attend the event which will be held at the Wichita Festivals offices, 1820 E. Douglas.
“We are excited to open our doors and encourage the public to come share their thoughts with us,” said Janet Wright, WFI CEO/President, “We know Riverfest means a lot to this community and we are looking for energetic, passionate individuals to help us by not only supplying ideas, but also taking the initiative to make some of these ideas come to fruition.”
Those that are unable to attend, but still would like to have a new event considered for inclusion in the 2013 Riverfest, can submit a new event form available on the Riverfest web site,
www.wichitariverfest.com.
“Each year we put out a call for new events; we hope to get the public more involved this year by taking it another step further with this public forum,” said Wright.
