WICHITA, Kansas -- The Wichita Police Department has identified the man killed in an accident at 17th and Piatt Friday night.
Michael A. Spires, 49, died when he was hit by a car.
The impact pushed him into the other lane, and police say he may have been hit again.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating the accident.
