Police say people are going around the city knocking on doors and claiming they are selling Kirby vacuum cleaners.
The suspects are described as a man and woman wearing unprofessional clothes
If people let them in, the suspects have the chance to scope the house while giving a fake sales pitch.
They then break-in when people aren't home.
Similar cases have been traced back for a couple of months to the first of November.
Yesterday alone, there were a few burglaries in west Wichita that police suspect are related, but similar burglaries have happened all around the metro area.
Officers say the suspects go after small items like jewelry and money.
If you see anyone suspicious, call police.
"These people are trying to burglarize and not attack people at this point. So, opening the door and talking to them and asking for identification that's all good. If you are not for sure who it is and concerned about it call 911."
Police say valid Kirby vacuum salespeople carry proper identification with them.
