WICHITA, Kansas -- The Orpheum Theatre announced that singer-songwriter, Art Garfunkel, has cancelled his remaining 2012 tour dates, including a performance in Wichita on Nov. 3.
Garfunkel has been working to mend his voice and regrets the disappointment to fans who bought tickets as well as the venues and promoters who worked to make these shows a success.
"I had such hopes of being finally ready to perform. How painful to try and not be quite yet there," says Garfunkel.
Manager John Scher says, "Art wants to perform, more than anything. He's going to come back stronger than ever."
Select-A-Seat will begin notifying ticket holders and issuing refunds this week. If tickets were purchased in person with cash or check, ticket buyers will need to go to the outlet where they purchased tickets to receive a refund.
Tickets to this show will not be valid in the event of a rescheduled performance date.
