BAZINE, Kansas -- A 12-year-old Bazine girl was killed in an accidental shooting Friday night.
When Ness County Sheriff's Deputies arrived, they found a family member administering CPR to Courie Cox.
Deputies continued CPR but were unsuccessful.
Cox was transported to the Ness County Hospital where she died.
A preliminary investigation reveals Cox was wounded when a gun was discharged by a family member.
An autopsy is being conducted.
The investigation is ongoing by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Ness County Sheriff's Office.
