WICHITA, Kansas -- The Wichita City Council approved a redevelopment district for the Bowllagio complex Tuesday morning by a 4-3 vote.
Council members Janet Miller, Pete Meitzner, and Michael O'Donnell voted no.
The district is located North of Kellogg and east of Maize Road. It is 86.5 acres in size.
The Bowllagio is a family entertainment center with bowling as the main attraction.
It will be coupled with restaurants, hotels, and retail shops.
A tax increment financing district will be used to finance drainage-related improvements in the area prone to flooding.
