WICHITA, Kansas -- Police released more information about Sunday afternoon's fatal accident.
Randall Storms, 56, was driving a minivan with his wife, 59-year-old Sue Storms, when the vehicle veered across East Central, hit a curb and went airborne.
It ended up in a dry creek bed where it hit a retaining wall around 3 p.m.
Neither were wearing a seatbelt and Sue was ejected from the minivan. A service dog in the vehicle died as well.
Randall was in a wheelchair and the vehicle was fitted with hand controls.
Wichita police say the minivan wasn't speeding at the time of the accident and believe that Randall had a medical condition, possibly a heart attack, that caused the accident.
