Haysville fire leaves family homeless
Haysville, KANSAS -- A Friday afternoon house fire destroyed the home of a Haysville family.
When fire crews arrived in 700 hundred block of Chelsea, they found heavy fire on the back of the house and the deck.
Investigators say it appears the fire came up from the basement and extended to the home's attic.
A teenager was home at the time. He suffered a minor case of smoke inhalation.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
