TOPEKA, Kansas -- The Kansas Lottery is urging all players to check their Powerball tickets from last night's drawing.
Six tickets sold in Kansas for the record-breaking drawing are each worth $10,000 after matching four of the first five numbers, plus the Powerball.
The winning numbers in the much-anticipated drawing were 5-16-22-23-29 Powerball 6.
Four of the $10,000 tickets were sold in northeast Kansas and two were sold in south central Kansas.
The $587.5 million jackpot was captured by players in two states: Arizona and Missouri.
The final tally for Powerball tickets sold in Kansas for the November 28 drawing was more than $5.4 million.
That number easily surpassed the nearly $3.5 million tickets sold for the March 30 record Mega Millions drawing, in which a Franklin County resident claimed a third of a $656 million jackpot.
Including the six $10,000 winners, there were a total of 84,088 Kansas winners in last night's drawing. To view the number of winners at each level,
