Man arrested in Wichita stabbing

WICHITA, Kansas -- A 21-year-old man is in the Sedgwick County jail for allegedly stabbing a man during an argument early Wednesday morning.

It happened in then 4700 block of east Douglas around 2:15 a.m.

Police say the suspect started arguing with the 27-year-old victim and his girlfriend at the QuikTrip at Oliver and Central.

A store clerk told the two men to leave.

The victim and his girlfriend drove off and the suspect allegedly began following them.

In the area of the 4700 block of east Douglas, both men pulled over and started fighting.

Police say it was then that the suspect stabbed the victim several times.

His girlfriend took him to Wesley Hospital where he is being treated.

Police interviewed the suspect and arrested him Wednesday morning.
