Police respond to shots fired call in Old Town on New Year's Day

WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita police responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of North Mosley on New Year's Day.

Wichita police spokesman Doug Nolte said police heard one shot fired and could see people running from a parking garage in the area.

An officer in trouble call was placed and more cops arrived on the scene.

Officers detained several people including some gang members.

During questioning, officers did not find any evidence to tie those detained to the shooting.

They found no damage or evidence of a gun being fired.

There were no arrests made.
