WICHITA, Kansas -- A SWAT team bust north of downtown Wednesday night led to the arrest of about 20 people.
It happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 600 block of north Topeka. Police say neighbors had complained to police that there was a lot of narcotics and prostitution happening in the area.
Lieutenant James Espinoza said the narcotics warrant was executed as a joint effort between Community Action Teams, Patrol North, and the SWAT team.
Around 20 people were taken into custody. Espinoza said several will be released, but others will be arrested on unrelated charges, like outstanding warrants.
