WICHITA, Kansas -- Outgoing Sheriff Robert Hinshaw was honored at the Sedgwick County Commissioners weekly meeting.
He is stepping down as the top cop in county.
Hinshaw was defeated in the August primary by Jeff Easter, who went on to win in the November general election.
Commissioners thanked him for his service to the county.
Hinshaw will leave office on December 15.
