WICHITA, Kansas -- Three children are in protective custody after their mother overdoses on heroin.
It happened in a home in southwest Wichita.
Police say a friend came over and found three girls ages 3, 7, and 9 all in the home and their mother in a bathtub.
The mother was taken to Wesley hospital in serious condition.
Police say the investigation will be turned over to Department of Children and Families.
