WICHITA, KANSAS -- Metropolitan Area Planning Commission voted Thursday 6-4 to reject a request to rezone the property where slain doctor George Tiller's clinic is located.
The group Kansans for Life had collected nearly 14,000 signatures and submitted them to the Wichita City Council seeking the change in the zoning.
A nonprofit group Trust Women Foundation Inc. purchased the building in August and plans to provide abortions and other women's health services.
