WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita police are investigating after a woman was robbed in southeast Wichita.
It happened Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of South Laura.
The woman told police she walked out of her home to get something out of her car.
That is when a man approached her holding a knife and a gun.
Police say the woman tried to fight the man but was hit in the head with the gun.
She also suffered several cuts and scratches.
The man was able to escape with $80.
EMS was called to the scene, but the woman refused to go the hospital.
