Rockies agree to one-year deal with OF Colvin

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rockies and outfielder Tyler Colvin avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract, the team announced on Friday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy.

Colvin, who was acquired from the Chicago Cubs in December 2011, appeared in 136 games with the Rockies last season and batted a career-high .290 with 27 doubles, 10 triples, 18 home runs and 72 RBI.

Over 357 career games, Colvin has batted .247 with 44 homers and 150 RBI.
