Recap: Detroit vs. Toronto
Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Prince Fielder and Delmon Young hit back-to- back home runs as part of a seven-run second inning that catapulted the Detroit Tigers to an 11-8 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Young and Tigers teammate Brennan Boesch both collected three hits with two RBI. Fielder's home run was a three-run shot. Drew Smyly gave up four runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings for Detroit.
Veteran Omar Vizquel clubbed a two-run homer and Jonathan Jones added a two- run triple for the Blue Jays. Toronto's Brett Cecil was tagged for nine runs -- seven earned -- on 11 hits in four full frames.
