Recap: Texas vs. LA Angels
Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Leonys Martin stroked a game-winning three-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Texas Rangers to a 10-9 victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Thursday in spring training action.
Martin finished 3-for-5 with four RBI, while Elvis Andrus registered three hits, two RBI and a run scored for the Rangers. Texas starter Derek Lowe gave up six runs on seven hits over 3 2/3 frames.
Albert Pujols, Josh Hamilton and Howie Kendrick each clubbed solo shots in the fourth, while Hank Conger, who finished with four RBI, capped Los Angeles' six-run fourth frame with a two-run blast.
Erick Aybar also smacked a solo homer for the Angels, who saw starter Jerome Williams surrender seven runs on 11 hits in just 1 1/3 innings.
