San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - DeMarcus Cousins recorded a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, as the Sacramento Kings defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 94-82, on Thursday in the final preseason contest for both teams.

Isaiah Thomas also netted 20 points and Tyreke Evans followed with 14 points for the Kings, who open the regular season in Chicago on Oct. 31 against the Bulls.

Devin Ebanks paced Los Angeles with 14 points, while Dwight Howard added nine points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Lakers finished the preseason 0-8.

Los Angeles was again without Kobe Bryant, who missed his second consecutive game with a bruised right foot. The 14-time All-Star is questionable for Tuesday's season-opener against the Dallas Mavericks.

Sacramento held a slim 40-39 edge at the break, but the Kings shot over 60 percent from the field in the third and outscored the Lakers by 16 in the frame en route to the victory.
