Carson, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Galaxy announced on Wednesday that the club has signed forward Robbie Keane to a multi-year contract extension.
Keane led the Galaxy with 16 goals in 28 regular season matches last term while chipping in nine assists. He also played a crucial role in Los Angeles repeating as MLS Cup champions by tallying six more goals in the postseason.
The Republic of Ireland international joined the Galaxy in August 2011 and has totaled 18 goals and 10 assists in his 32 league games for the club.
Keane was named the Galaxy's MVP last season and also earned a spot on the MLS Best XI.
